INFP

OK, I am late by about a month on this but everyone down here was disclosing their personalities via the Myers-Briggs. You may have been able to discern that I am an INFP.

Mr Spock fascinated me as a small childBecause the Myers-Briggs is so unreliable, I sometimes come out as a INTP because my heart and head are in a constant battle for dominance. If anybody did something called the “Life Languages” I am a contemplator/responder which is another way of saying that I am Spock.

I greatly distrust my intuition because I see all sort of wacked things that other Intuitives do and want to distance myself from that! Especially when you bring the prophetic into it.

I am not a big fan of “4 dimension” personality tests. They are good for giving a general idea about a person, but I think they are too limited. I prefer the 16 pf (personality factor) test which judges you on a sliding scale for 8 different traits. Then of course is the MMPI (minnesota multiphasic personality inventory) the ultimate personality test. This will take one a number of hours to complete, but it will be able to tell you very specific things, such as how you butter your bread and whether or not you are inclined to become a serial killer. ;^)

I haven’t taken a personality test in years. It would be interesting to see what one would say now.

The MMPI sounds like the ultimate in navel-gazing. Maybe I should look into that!

i know this is an old post. . but i ran across it an had to comment. the myers briggs in your case is not unreliable. i too am an infp. this means that you are a deeply feeling person (Mr. Spock in the new movie to a T) but the i means your feelings are introverted. . and since both thinking and feeling cannot be introverted the thinking becomes extroverted and seen to everyone else. which is why many INFP’s are believed to be INTP’s.
