EFV ‘07 Virginia Beach, Part 2

July 15, 2007 · 3 Comments

A few things that I am enjoying down here:

1. Bought a dozen Krispy Kreme’s in the truck stop that were a few hours old. Philly has a Dunkin Donut on every corner but almost NO Krispy Kremes. What a waste.

2. Naps. I took 2 today already. I am so wiped out from the aftermath of the Nashville event last week. My sleeping was poor all week due to spiritual weird stuff, fatigue, near 100 degree temps on the 3rd floor, and other reasons I have yet to discern. I am really beat. The family is worried and keep hassling me.

3. Avoiding the Beach. Now this may sound crazy to many of you but I like to stay away from the beach and all of the grimy sand and gunk. Because you have to get it out of your system and hair and everywhere else. Many people in the family cannot accept this and hassle me to no end for my preferences. It is open season on the introvert here. For the record I went for a walk on the beach last night.

One regret:

I think I missed an opportunity to see the MonT-sTeR preach this morning. This was because I didn’t make the arrangements with my brother who drove his car down here. So my only consolation will be lunch most likely.

Wonderful news about your uncle. I can emphasize with the sleep thing. I have been praying a lot of Psalm 127:2 because I haven’t slept well in over 3 weeks (with the exception of a few days). I envy your ability to nap. :^)

I can also emphasize with the open season issue. God always seems to place people in my life that do things that move me beyond my comfort zone. i.e. My current care manager at work enjoys telling facilities that I come into work drunk and cracked out. Thankfully most of these facilities are regular callers and know that he is “special”. Have fun with your family.

That doesn’t sound so much like “spiritual warfare” as it does “harassment” and “defamation”. How has management responded to that? BTW, did I mention that my uncle is a Lawyer :) Maybe he can help you out…

Actually Chris is awesome. He’s just a nut. He usually says that stuff to facilities that call in all the time. We get a few regulars and joke around with them a lot. Besides, it’s not always one sided. ;) Sometimes I tell facilities that I have to put them on hold so that I can wake him up out of his crack coma, or that he was the one that brought in the drinks!! And his wife is a lawyer as well, so…
Anyway, I am seriously considering my friend’s offer although it would require some serious belt tightening beyond what I am already doing.
