Thomas Edison’s House

Edison's House - GlenmontWell it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately his lab was closed for renovations for a long time, but I got the house tour. Saw the desk where he came up with all his ideas in the evening. Edison purchased Glenmont for only $150k, about half of its value. He was buried in the backyard along with his wife.

Return Trip Edison's grave at Glenmont

On the way back, I nearly ended up in Manhattan, which I didn’t want to do, so I got off the highway and very conveniently was able to turn around. Trip took only 90 minutes from Philly, and the roads were as good as could be expected in NYC metro.

Stopped in Princeton on the way back to find another grave. Jonathan Edwards was used to start the “Great Awakening” in America. He was also a president of Princeton University. It was pretty neat finding his grave. Look for a more interesting video in the future, similar to the video of Charles Finney in this blog.

More on this event later. In other news, this is the 200th post for the CBB blog. Many record milestones have been falling to the wayside in light of the Duggars’ 17th baby being born, and my previous post has received ridiculous numbers of hits.
