Went on the White House Garden Tour today.
Was a lot of fun. I feel a bit silly because I thought that I was actually going to tour the House and not just the grounds. Not so, but it was nice to get in the gate. Today and tomorrow is the only time one can get in this spring.
I got within 20 feet of the Oval Office, which was cool. I was discouraged from entering by the myriad of stern yet polite gentlemen stationed in front of the doors.
I saw the president’s basketball court, tennis court, children’s pool, and various ceremonial plantings from previous administrations.
This last shot is a street view from the Ronald Reagan building’s international trade center, a few blocks away.
